Hello my crafty friends. I hope you're having a great day today. Today I am making a Mother's Day card for someone I love who has had a really hard time becoming a mom.
I am using the Simon Says Stamp set called A Mamma's Love. I don't think it is still available.
This stamp is set up for masking, so I will also be using some Masking Magic from Gina K.
You can buy it here:
I stamped the sitting mom in Honey Bee Stamps Intense black ink because it is Copic marker friendly.
I stamped it again onto the masking paper without reinking.
Once the mask was stamped and cut out and placed, I added the little boy and girl on each side of the mom.
I used the same color combinations for all the images and added a little grass under them to ground the images.
Once everything was colored, I drew a little set of wings on the boy, because he is an angel now, looking down waiting for his little sister to be born.
I trimmed the card panel with the Waffle Flower A2 layer dies, the third largest.
Then I added it to a blue card base.
I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and trimmed it out, but didn't like how that looked, so I removed it and restamped it on black cardstock with white ink and heat set white embossing powder from Brutes Monroe.
I added a piece of white copy paper to the inside of the blue card base for a clean place to write a note.
Here is the finished card
