Non Traditional Baby Card with WPLus9 Stamps and an Action Wobble

Hello my crafty friends. I hope you're having a great day today. I'm back with another card made using products chosen by the random number generator and my spread sheet. I am still loving finding products in my stash that I haven't used in a while and making cards that maybe don't fit the theme of the stamp set. And that's what happened today. So get comfy and let's get crafty.

The spread sheet choices today are; WPlus9 for the brand, and layering stamps for the product, interactive card for the technique, pattern paper for the color pallet, new baby for the theme, and enamel dots for the extra.

I started by choosing this bird house stamp set. I have other sets that would have worked for a baby card, but this is the only layering set I have from Wplus9.

I choose some inks from Altenew that match this piece of pattern paper from my stash. I won't use the paper on the card, but it was another stretch on this card.

I stamped the bird house and a couple of the flower pot combinations on a piece of 80lb Neenah.

When the stamping was complete, I fussy cut the images. The bird house has no border, but there was not a good way to cut the flowers without a border, so I left a slight border around them.

For the card, I wanted the background to be more clean so I went with a heavy weight white card stock cut to 11x 4 1/4 inches and scored in half to make a US A2, portrait card. I took another piece of the heavy weight cardstock and cut it down to 4x 5 1/4 inches then cut this emerald shape into it with this Spellbinders die.

The die set is pretty cool because it gives you the option of making a frame or layer. I decided to just cut the layer and not make it a frame.

Next I needed to figure out how to lay the pieces out and still make it an interactive card. I laid the flower pots down and then used a small piece of press and seal to pick up the collage and add liquid glue to the back before I added it to the front of the layer.

The birdhouse looks like it's floating in mid air, so I need to make a pole for the birdhouse. I took a scrap of kraft cardstock and added some wood grain to it with W gray copic markers.

To help it coordinate a little better, I also used the Altenew gray inks from the flower pots and a blending brush to change the color a bit. Then I glued the post to the layer.

I added the action wobbler to the back of the birdhouse by removing the liner to reveal the adhesive.

To put the layer on the card base, I used my ATG runner.

I stamped the sentiment in white ink and heat set some white embossing powder with my heat tool and then fussy cut the sentiment too. I added it to the card with liquid glue.

For the enamel dots, I went through my stash and found some old ones that will work with the color pallet. I added a couple of groupings to the top right and bottom left of the layer.

Here is the finished card.
