Square Art Journal Page with Stamperia Papers

Hello my crafty friends. I hope you're having a great day. I'm back with an art journal page in my square art journal.

Some time ago, I picked up an 8x8 art book to work with the 8x8 Stamperia pattern paper pads. I love their papers, but some times they're too beautiful to cut up. With this art journal I can use the pages without cutting them up too much.

For this page, I used the Oriental Garden paper pad.

I tore up one page with a deckled edge paper tearing tool. Mine is old from when I used it on scrapbook pages, but it still got the job done.

After I had the page in pieces, I added some inking with Archival ink in Potting Soil around the edges.

I decided to build the page on a square piece of green cardstock. It's nearly the same color green that appears in the pattern paper. I added some inking to the edge of the green cardstock as well.

I decided that I needed some more texture to the background, so I grabbed some Distress Ink spray in Walnut Stain.

Then, I collaged the tore up papers on the front of the cardstock. And after I got the collage all down with some glue stick, I added some more Distress Ink to the top layers.

I added some texture with stencils and paint. White paint and the burlap stencil.

Red paint with the art is stencil.

I used some floral images from the Stamperia Amazon Collection paper. I fussy cut out tow types of leafy plants and a Bird of Paradise plant. I love that flower almost as much as l love tulips.

I added a quote block from the Oriental Garden paper pad to the front as well. And that is the whole page.

Thanks for stopping by. See the video here:
